Tarak Ridge Mariveles Bataan | Energy Gap Wedding Proposals

Tarak Ridge is located at Mariveles Bataan. It has a 1006 MASL (Ridge). It is better to climb it for 2 days because the Hike going to the summit will be at least 5 to 6 Hours depending on the pace of your ascent.

“Tarak Ridge, on Mt. Mariveles’ west face, that has gained much attention. Its craggy landscape, sharp rocks, and steep location may have given rise to its name, Tarak, which is somewhat of a cross between ‘Tabak’ (hunting knife) and ‘Tarik’ (steep). There is a scenic, 270-degree view of Bataan which includes the islands of Corregidor and neighboring islands, as well as Manila Bay all the way to Cavite.” -pinoymountaineer.com

TRIVIA
The name Mariveles has a romantic background, which was recounted by Long Henson, father of Philippine hiking itineraries. He narrates that once, there lived in Mexico Maria Velez and her lover; they both came to Philippines as a nun and a priest; but then they fell in love and tried to return to Mexico by way of Bataan . They were pursued by their superiors. Unfortunately they were ambushed by Negritos, and they place of their death was named in honor of Maria – hence Marivelez.

This story will tell you one of the nakakakilig-kilig moment of a Hiker’s Life.

First, we registered to Brgy. Hall of Alis-asin and took our early lunch before starting our Amazing Tarak Journey.

We entered to a magical forest that lead the way to the Magical World of Aling Kording.

Our quest is to capture the mystical light and bring it to its rightful Throne. Are you excited to see the light that can change everything on how you see the life of being a Mountaineer/Hiker?

If yes, grab our hand and let’s do this together.

Dito namin na appreciate ang “Patience is a virtue” tag line.

Iyhang: Hmmp.

Emman: Eto na oh. itatayo ko na. Love you Bib!

Jonat: Pano?

Ivan: Titikman ko. hahaha

We prayed. Mariveles. Blessed this food for thy bounty through Christ our Lord Amen.”

Masaya kaming kumain at nagkwentuhan.

Jonat: Ayos ahh. tamis yun.

Nakakalasing.

Michael: Bagong kaalaman yan ahh. Astig!

Tiyak everything will be just fine.

Jerwin: Saranghe! Ang lameeeg!

Let’s sing! We are the champion – my Friends. And we’ll keep on fighting till the end.

Our battle is not to conquer anything from this world but rather to fight all the temptations that get us far away from the Purpose of our Life.

What’s the purpose of your life? Do you ever think about it?

Maybe it’s the hardest question that you may ask to yourself. Even so, you must believe in yourself and try to crack the code of what God really wants you to be.

I’m 27 and still trying to figure it out. Honesty, It’s hard.

One of the reason why I love to see the sunrise from the top of the mountain is because I feel that I have seen the glimpse of Heaven. And like Sunrise, Heaven is the beginning for all of us to love and follow God with all our heart.

We sat and wait for the sun to unfold its beauty. And Capturing it was indeed magnificent.

We finished our quest with a bang of gratitude.

Thank you Lord for letting us feel the warm embrace of Your grace.

Then, We met this lovely couple.

The guy suddenly kneel down and pronounce his love to the girl.

Boyet: I love you. Will you be mine for the rest of my Life?

Girlie: Yes I Do.

“Will you marry me?”

Haha Lahat kami kinilig. True Story!

Fast Forward…

Iyhang: Opo Father!

Pari: You may pledge your Vows.

Iyhang and Emman: To be my wedded husband/wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to God’s holy ordinance; and there to I pledge thee my faith myself to you.

Mabuhay ang bagong kasal!

From the Campsite, It took us another 45 minutes to get into the top of the Mountain.

The Panoramic Views on the Summit include the Five Fingers of Bataan and Corregidor Island.

We solemnly listen to Mighty to Save Song before we start our descend from the summit of Tarak Ridge.

Believe me, The feeling while thinking all the blessing you receive from Above could make a smile with a pounding heart beat.

“Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord;

let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.

Let us come before him with thanksgiving

and extol him with music and song.” – Psalm 95

The beautiful trails of Tarak Ridge welcome us with her elegant slope.

We conquered The Heights of Tarak Ridge but our quest to capture all the beauty of natures will not end here.

Masaya kaming bumaba. Mariveles.

Stranger Things Moment!

Wow! first time ko talaga uminom ng Tubig galing Ilog. Safe ba?

Don’t miss it!

Kaya lahat kami ay excited mag hike where it all begun.

I’ve met this cute hiker name Ate Liit.

Ate Liit: Two Years pa lang. Alam mo ba. Dati may sakit ako noon ng Essential Hypertension – high blood pressure that doesn’t have a known secondary cause.  So the doctors encourage me to do some exercise like biking and hiking.

Here’s how essential hypertension must be treated (from healthline):

  • Exercising at least 30 minutes a day
  • Eating a low-sodium, low-fat diet that’s rich in potassium and fiber (don’t increase your potassium intake without your doctor’s permission if you have kidney problems)
  • Losing weight if you are overweight
  • Quitting smoking
  • Limiting your alcohol intake to no more than one drink a day if you’re a woman and two drinks a day if you’re a man
  • Reducing your stress level

Ate Liit: When I started hiking my hypertension started to disappear. You can say that Hiking saves my life. And here I am hiking all the peaks of Luzon. Ano ano na ba naakyat mong bundok?

Jonat: Marami na rin po. Pulag, Maculot, Batulao, Pico, Talamitam, Romelo.

Makiling at Pulag.

Paano kayo nagkakila-kilala?

Halcon or G2G2?

Say Hi! 🙂

Thank you Guys sa masayang Hike!

Marami tayong natutunan. Marami tayong naranasan ng First Time.
