Sabi ko.what’s your name?

Ivan: bakit english?

Then sabi niya. Your me.

Anna: bakit your me?

Jonat: “Your me” pag tinagalog “Sayo ako”. Haha xempre bago pa lang kami nag aaral mag english ih. Kaya aun naging tawagan namin. Your me. Sweet noh? True story!

Sirao Garden (Little Amsterdam of Cebu)

sirao1

Leyla: Welcome to Sirao Garden. Enjoy Guys!

Jonat: Nanghihina ako. Ang daming flowers and I feel so gay haha

Theory ko lang naman pero it makes sense as you see the pictures below. Oh sadyang magaling lang umanggulo si Michael. Haha

Sirao Garden gave us another taste of adventure – simple with a touch of artistic creation of the Lord.

Temple of Leah

templeoflea1

Have you ever seen the Parthenon of Greece?

Not yet? Let me give you a glimpse of it here in Cebu.

This Temple was built out of love.

Like the great walls of Parthenon, the love of Theorodico and Leah was tested in time. Their Love overcame all the agony of life that turned the broken pieces of the walls to stand to a magnificent Temple.

That was the reason why every visitors of the temple felt the love that gazed upon the beautiful scenery of its balcony.

templeoflea2

Mararamdaman mo talagang you are in a different period of time.

templeoflea5

Little Stars in the Night Sky.

templeoflea12

Ate Leyla: Guys nakita niyo ba yung galit sa may CR?

Jonat: Hindi po. Ano po yun?

Ate Leyla: haha buti endi nyo napansin.

Ate Tina: haha galit talaga.

Tingnan nyo.

All: hahahaha grabe ka juls. Ginalit mo nga!

Taoist Chinese Temple

Seeing this temple makes me reminisce some of my adventures in Japan.

Temples in Japan:

What’s the difference? Actually only the names were different because Japanese Temples were greatly influence by the Chinese Tang Dynasty. And It was first built by the Chinese Monks and preserved in Japanese Culture..

chinese6

There were some Wishing Pots where you can throw a coin to the holes that may grant your wish.

Ivan: haha isang trial lang shoot agad.

Jonat: Nice. Mukhang practisado ka sa pagshoot ahh. Single ka naman. Haha

chinese5

My heart melt when I saw the Little Great Wall of China. Isa ito sa mga gusto kong puntahan sa China and seeing this architecture is a Dream Come True.

And we all agreed. Masarap namin inupakan ang Lechong Cebu with a heart.

Magellan Cross and Basilica del Santo Nino Church

mactan

Magellan’s Cross is a Christian Cross planted by Ferdinand Magellan upon arriving in Cebu in the Philippines on March 15, 1521.

It’s a reminder of the first introduction of Christ in the Lives of the Filipinos.

Do you wonder what’s the INRI in the Cross mean? INRI came from the Latin Phrase of “Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum” meaning “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews”.

mactan2

“The Minor Basilica of the Holy Child and commonly known as the Santo Niño Basilica, is a minor basilica in Cebu City in the Philippines that was founded in the 1565 by Frays Andrés de Urdaneta, O.S.A. and Diego de Herrera, O.S.A.. The oldest Roman Catholic church in the country, it is built on the spot where the image of the Santo Niño de Cebú was found during the expedition of Miguel López de Legazpi.” – wikipedia

This Church symbolized the birth and growth of Christianity in the Philippines.

We entered the Church in silence. And we thanked and prayed to God for all the blessings we received throughout the years.

Then I met my Idol in Blogging World just outside of the Basilica of Sto. Nino Church.

Chasing Potatoes in the House Yow!  The most Famous Blogger in Cebu.

Isa siya sa mga pinupuntahan talaga dito sa Cebu by a lot of Bloggers. I feel so happy ng pumayag siya makipag meet and greet sa akin sa Cebu.

Kindly visit her blog:

https://chasingpotatoes.com/author/chasingpotatoes/

“Why Chasing Potatoes? I’m Chasing Potatoes. I chase time and opportunities because just like round potatoes they roll and get lost. I chase them to store memories to last a lifetime. I make haste, running after them, fearful that they might be gone. That’s why I go places on land or in water. My story tells about the journey of chasing time and saying yes to wonderful opportunities.” Gly Gly

At kung magtatanong kayo kung paano kami nagkakilala? Nabasa ko kasi ang blog niya about Mr. Frog Prince. Basahin niyo! I am sure na magugustuhan niyo yan 200%. She really write from the bottom of her Heart. And for me that’s beautiful.

Sobrang naging close kami sa Blogging World and became good friends. Peace Gly! 🙂 Kaya if you are reading this and you are from Cebu, Date niyo naman si Chasing Potatoes for me. hahaha Mabait yan at kumakain ng tatlong beses sa isang araw.

Fort San Pedro

mactan4

“Fort San Pedro is a military defense structure in Cebu, Built by the Spanish under the command of Miguel Lopez de Legazpi, first governor of the Captaincy General of the Philippines. This Fort served as the nucleus of the first Spanish settlement in the Philippines.  And it is the oldest triangular bastion fort in the country.” – Wikipedia

Feeling Nerd with chance of meatballs. haha

“Lapu-Lapu (fl. 1521) was a ruler of Mactan in Visayas. Modern Philippine society regards him as the first Filipino hero because he was the first native to resist Spanish colonization. He is best known for the Battle of Mactan that happened at dawn on April 27, 1521, where he and his soldiers defeated Ferdinand Magellan. The battle ended Magellan’s expedition and delayed the Spanish occupation of the islands by over forty years until the expedition of Miguel López de Legazpi in 1564. Monuments to Lapu-Lapu have been built in Manila and Cebu while the Philippine National Police and the Bureau of Fire Protection use his image.” – wikipedia

mactan9

Astig diba! True Bravery is within the Heart!

mactan10

mactan15

We make our final stand here in Cebu at Fort San Pedro. We waved goodbyes to the people we meet in this trip.

Let me share one of my favorite quotes from Chasing Potatoes that changed how I think about Life:

Never ever give up. What if you give up on your 99th try, not knowing that the hundredth try will be the realization of your dream? The prize may be far … but just keep on. It’s okay to get tired but just keep going. Who knows? 😉
